These folks are branding this an “act of civil disobedience”.
They are planning to march on Washington DC with loaded rifles and claim this will be a peaceful protest unless the government “decided to make it violent”.
No matter what happens, they will use this as martyrdom.
If they are turned back without violence, they will claim tyranny, it becomes violent, they will claim tyranny and martyrdom.
Then there’s the chance that the government will just let them do it, even without the required permits and such (they have stated that they are purposefully not going to apply for the permits to do this) - which I feel should be something that would open a huge can of worms, but probably won’t.
I don’t know. I just don’t see this going down well.

A whole big bunch of gun enthusiasts are going to march on Washington, carrying loaded unregistered weapons, and claim they aren’t looking for a fight unless the government “decides to start one”?
You know, that sounds almost exactly like what the backwoods militias say?
A large group of people marching onto government property with loaded weapons isn’t a peaceful protest. It’s a walking threat, and really REALLY bad press for responsible gun owners.
There is no possible way this is going to end well.
Then again, it’s also a perfect illustration of WHY WE NEED BETTER GUN CONTROL. I swear, it’s like they do it on purpose.

I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that people like them are so fucking entitled they can’t see past their nose. Shit like this will do nothing to further their cause and do everything to make themselves look like fanatics.
